the Kunsthaus - Graz was the Cultural Capital of Europe in 1998. they invested a lotta money to make the city the attractive place and host for cultural events for the year, and to help reinvigorate teh cultural life...according to Grazian ppl, it failed to help continue the support of art..they ran out of money...now Budapest is applying for the same role
